Leaving Death Valley, we headed west on CA-190, which is 100-miles of continuous twists, mountain passes and fast straights. Approaching CA-395, the moment where the Sierra rises like a wall above the Owens Valley floor is unforgettable.
A little later, Damian and Brendan had spirited fun going up and down 9-mile Canyon Road below Kennedy Meadows with its tight turns and immense drop offs. Proceeding to cross the southern Sierra on CA-178 to Lake Isabella, we then enjoyed the western foothill twisties of CA-155 before finishing the day in Lindsay, which claims to be the Olive growing capital of the world. There, our good friend Tom Ness from Carlsbad CA joined the group.
