Problems with KBiK

5/11/24

Saturday started off with us deciding that heading west on US 50 into an approaching snow storm was a bad idea. We decided to head north on I-25 and then west on I-70 to avoid the storm.

It was cold but we were all wearing our heated gear so all went went well until we turned onto I-70. KBiK was grinding every time I accellerated even though there were no fault alerts showing. We pulled over into a chain up area on the side of the freeway and it became immediately obvious that my drive shaft had failed catastophically.

Foothills BMW provided great service coming out to pick us up but we could not have loaded KBiK into the van without Damian's strong arms and back!

After determining that KBiK was essentially a write-off, I decided to buy a brand new 2023 K1600 GT so I could continue the ride with the Aussies.
